If we are truly going to change things, the way people are, the way they receive the Lord and accept Him into their lives, we need to start opening our eyes to the brokenness around us and we need to start speaking with a sympathy and empathy to where people are at in their lives. We CANNOT judge people, we need to take them in and embrace them with the ever so presence and love of our Father.
We need to love on them, speak truths into their lives and wounds and we need to show grace, mercy, and forgivesness. I am so tired of the “church” speaking to individuals as though we are in a business meeting. If you are going to stand up in front of a congregation or any number of people to try and speak biblical truths into their lives, well then you need to understand you are speaking to broken, wounded and fragile people. You cannot assume they know biblical truths and you cannot expect them to understand the intellectual knowledge of God. You NEED to speak into their shattered souls, you need to speak into their wounds and you need to speak in a language where they can receive and hold onto the transforming truths about our loving GOD.
I know I see through the lens of the broken but isn’t that the way we should all see things? Isn’t that why we come to know Jesus? Because we have been so broken, wounded and have experienced so much pain that we need a Savior? Someone to take the lead, guide us, strengthen us and to build us back up in the way of him? To redeem and restore our souls? To bring us to quiet waters and to nourish our souls when we are thirsty or hungry? Isn’t it God who understands the pain of sacrifice, of being rejected and accepted? Isn’t it God who holds your hand and walks with us every step of our journey, never leaving us nor forsaking us? Isn’t it God who is close to the brokenhearted and crushed in spirit?
Well then, if we are followers of Jesus and want to emulate his love, then shouldn’t we stop and take the veils off our own eyes to see how deeply broken this world is? How deeply shattered people are? My heart grieves for those who sit under teachings without this understanding and try to do things in their own strength. They wound so many people and the hope they should have quickly dwindles.
I challenge you all to ask God to remove the veil off of your eyes and to position you before someone that deep needs a loving encounter and embrace from HIM. Ask him to show you how you can speak to them in a language they can receive and ask him to speak his truth through you into their deepest wounds. Allow God to use you in mighty ways and stop being selfish and start becoming selfless.
I love you all deeply and I pray you God pours out an abundant amount of love on each of you today. That with each breath you inhale you feel him enter into your soul and that you can exhale with a confidence and reassurance, with a peace and comfort that he has you, holding you tight in his embrace and that he passionately loves you. I pray you seek your own healing and that you can go share your testimonies on how God met you, healed you and set you free. I pray that you are transformed from the inside out and that you understand the depths of his passionate love for you. Go out today and be different. Be a light in a dark and fallen world that has lost so much hope. Be a light that shines so bright that others flock to you because they want what you have. Be Jesus in the flesh. Love you all deeply and now he lobes you that much more xoxoxo
Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
