I have been having this conversation with my children lately.
Hard to breathe in at times but I truly believe this is absolute TRUTH
It’s NOT you. What feels like rejection IS God’s protection.
Sometimes God just shows you that people are not supposed to be in your life. Sometimes we don’t see it or we are too nervous to do anything about it. We take the hits, we lower our standards or we waver in who we are just to feel accepted, included or to be part of the crowd.
However, when we continue to position ourselves with toxic people, people that draw from our well and dehydrate us from any living water that we might actually be drinking, it stops us from blooming and growing into whom God has called us and created us to be.
You do not have to be in a “group” to be noticed or accepted. You just need to find people that are traveling the same journey as you . You need to create time and a safe space to develop Godly relationships. Relationships that you are intentional with. Friendships that call forth one another’s gifts, encourage one another and speak life into one another. God says when two or more are gathered in His name, He is amongst you. A community, a group, it consists of two or more. Not the masses. Find like minded people, find your tribe.
The truth is, it doesn’t matter what people think of you. It only matters what God thinks. It’s about being obedient to God and what He is calling you to do, even if it’s uncomfortable or scary. It is about taking risk, standing back up when you have been knocked down and it is about jumping out of the boat into treacherous waters KNOWING God is going to be your life jacket. He will NOT allow you to drown and He will bring back onto dry ground.
Today, I am praying for those of us that are surrounded around toxic people that are draining life out of you. I am praying that as you step out in faith, in obedience that you run your race God has set out before you sweating all the toxins and poisonous people out of your life. I am praying that as you pluck the debris of weeds from your garden and excavate the dead roots in your life that have allowed you to believe the lies that you are not good enough, that you would trump those lies with Gods truths. You know, the lies that it’s all you and that you will never find people to truly love and accept you. The lies that you are disposable and replaceable. The lies that you are not worthy, good enough and unnoticed. I am praying right now in the name of Jesus that God disperses His army of angels and that He surrounds you with those who believe in you, deeply love and and those that desire the best for your life. I am praying you know you were create for the more and that you deserve life giving, life breathing relationships that actually build you up and not tear you down. Relationships that see the anointing and gifting God has placed within you and push you to truly walk in all God has created you to be. Friendships that are not jealous or envious but friendships that are selfless, show up, and love you without borders because YOU, you are God’s beloved child in whom HE is well pleased and YOU deserve to be loved as Jesus loves.
