One of the hardest things not to do as a Christian. Conform to the ways of the world. Taking the anointing God has placed on your life, knowing you were called to be different yet fighting the desires of the flesh to “fit in” even though we weren’t called to “fit in”
Oh how I tell my kids this over and over and over again. They are not called to look like everyone else. In fact, I don’t want them to fit in, I want them to stand out. I want them to look different because they are. They have the Holy Spirit in them and my prayer is that they would be known for their Christlike character, not by compromising their identity to fit in a mold they were never meant to fit in.
Our lives should be such a reflection of GOD that the masses flock to us, not because we are cool but because they see something DIFFERENT about us and they want what we have. They see the angelic realm of peace that covers us, they want the Jesus in us.
Y’all people are looking for what we have. Don’t conform to the ways of the world. You will never be at complete peace and you will never be happy. People want different because they are tired of fighting the battles of rejection, insecurities and loneliness. They want to be accepted and unfortunately they are looking to fill that void in all the wrong places.
Be the one that is secure enough in who you are in Christ that you are ok being different . Be the one the masses flock to because they see God is with you and be the one that breaks the mold. Stand firm in who YOU are and who you are called to be and go out into this world with a strong and courageous spirit. Be the one that makes DIFFERENT normal and be the one that leads the masses to be transformed by the renewing their minds, ultimately leading them to surrender their lives over to Christ.
