In a world that Is constantly in a state of comparison, let’s remind ourselves today to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2)

We need to stop looking to the person to the right and to the left of us, desiring and wanting what they “have” when God has given us EVERYTHING we need.

Remember, we can’t always judge a book by its cover and we cannot always judge a persons life by their social media posts. A powerful and profound truth I often struggle with as I often allow feelings of rejection, unworthiness and loneliness to creep in when I get sucked into other people’s worlds

The enemy wants us to believe we are inferior while others are superior. He wants us to believe our value and worth is within the material things of the world and not in God. He wants our eyes and hearts to be jealous and envious. He wants our eyes to be focused on the things around us rather than on God.

I am reminded daily that the comparison game gets me nowhere but to KNOW who I am in Christ, to KNOW my value and worth in Him, well that takes me places of blissful awe. I can promote who I am in Christ while cheering on and promoting others. I can elevate and escalate those around me without a jealous heart but with a heart of praise and worship for what God is doing in their lives. Do I stumble, YES. Do I get caught up in the things of the world and forget my value and worth come from God and God alone, YES. Do I ignore the convictions to stop comparing myself to others and refocus my eyes on Jesus, YES.

BUT, God is faithful and good. He catches me before I fall deep. Deep into the woe is me mindset, deep into depression and deep into forgetting who I am

I challenge you today to put down all the things that are allowing your mind, body and soul to compare your life, your looks, your house, car, finances, whatever it may be and I encourage you to be still before the Lord so He can begin a work in you  that purifies out all the things that you are not, into the things that you are in HIM.

Be blessed in abundance ❤️
